Jordan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a warning Sunday about the dangers of clash escalation in southern Lebanon, emphasizing the serious consequences of igniting a new war against Lebanon.

This follows the recent missile strike on the occupied Syrian town of Majdal Shams, which resulted in numerous casualties among the town's residents in the occupied Syrian Golan.

The ministry cautioned that the escalation in southern Lebanon could potentially lead to a broader regional conflict.

Ambassador Dr. Sufian Al-Qudah, the ministry's official spokesperson, highlighted the importance of supporting Lebanon's security, stability, and the safety of its people and institutions. He underscored the necessity of adhering to Security Council Resolution No. 1701 to prevent further escalation.

Ambassador Al-Qudah also pointed out that the ongoing Israeli Occupation aggression on the Gaza Strip is causing increased tension and could expand the conflict regionally.

He called for an effective international effort to impose an immediate halt to the aggression and end the resulting humanitarian catastrophe, aiming to protect the Palestinian people from further massacres and destruction and to ensure regional and international security and stability.
